He laughed, he cried, he won immunity and Head of House once each, he changed his hairstyle a lot, he exercised more, he even danced, but after 42 days, it was time for Durbanite Jase to exit the Big Brother Mzansi Secrets house having received the fewest viewer votes this week. ZAlebs caught up with Kat’s playboy to hear his experience of the house.
If Poolie and Thando had not intervened do you think you would’ve punched Mandla?
I don’t think I would have, I just wanted to get my point across and sometimes when you want to get your point across you give off an intense reaction to it and that’s what I did. But I would’ve never punched him because I knew exactly what the Big Brother rules were and I’m not that stupid to bend the rules especially in that manner. Like l’ve just mentioned my intentions were not to get physical but only to get my point across.
Were you surprized at the number of people who were actually rooting for team Jase/Kat to work out?
Not really because the feelings between us were mutual and it’s also a natural element of life that people would obviously want to see between two people. It wasn’t surprising but it was flattering but also people need to understand that it was very tense in the house and to formulate a relationship under those circumstances is really difficult because there are just so many curve-balls that can throw you off. But I appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm towards my relationship with Kat. I respect Kat and we’ll see what happens after the game.
So are you willing to start something concrete with Kat should she win or not win the grand prize?
Look I’ve taken into consideration that she’s playing a game and people have to do what they need to do in order to win the million rand. I know that there are real feelings there and if the opportunity comes we could talk about it and maybe iron out our differences but I can’t give you a direct answer we’ll just have to see as time goes.
Have you seen your family yet?
Aw! Not at all I’m dying to see them all, I’ve missed them so much.
One housemate who’s been lucky in avoiding the eviction chopper-block is Thando, do you think she’ll be lucky this week?
The thing is this game is so unpredictable you never know what surprises are coming your way and I told her that. There was a point where she thought she was really leaving the house and she actually stayed, so it’s not as clear-cut as one would think. She might stay for longer she might go but I know she’s strong and she’ll pull through.
Do feel as though it was unfair for people in the house to constantly refer to you as being young and naïve, after all you are 21?
It never really got to me, because coming into the house I was naïve but because of what I’ve experience I’ve come out of the game a lesser naïve 21 year old. I’ve grown exceptionally in the past couple of weeks it was great learning experience that has opened up my eyes to many things, I’ve really grown up so much in these 42 days. It’s true I was naïve but the overall end result is that I came out a more mature individual.
Your comment on Mandla and Lexi’s shower hour incident?
I can’t really comment on that because it didn’t involve me. I think its best if you ask them when they come out.
