Multi-talented singer, songwriter, poet and producer Khethi releases her brand new single Wayikhomba Lena Featuring Zuluboy – taken from her soon to be released album Woza Moya.
Inspired by soulful Jazz Blues giants like Miriam Makeba, Sibongile Khumalo and Nina Simone, Khethi has crossed borders on the wings of her music.
The track Wayikhhomba Lena is one of the stand out tracks on the album and captures an intense moment in a break-up of a complex relationship. Both Khethi and Zuluboy elaborate and highlight their take on the current state of gender violence in South Africa.
“Relationships hurt either way, either you stay in an abusive relationship or the man that you love abandons you. In this situation in this song, they declare undying love, but their incompatibility hinders their longevity together, “ says Khethi.
