Supermodel Lee-ann Liebenberg, alongside the likes of 5FM DJ, Poppy Ntshongwana, Zakeeya Patel and Leanne Dlamini have taken a virtual razor to their heads in the latest issue of YOU Magazine.
The Ladies were asked if they’re photographs taken for the new issue of the mag could be retouched to remove their hair in support of cancer. To which they all agreed.
Liebenberg proudly dons the cover of YOU in a stunning retouched image.
In a press release, YOU Magazine editore, Linda Pietersen, revealed the message behind the bold statement.
“We often cover heartbreaking news stories related to cancer but we wanted to do something that would really make everyone sit up and take note. And our instinct to involve celebs was not wrong – the Cancer Association of SA says it uses celebrity ambassadors because they are so effective at getting the message across to the public.”
