Another week and another parody rap song inspired by the Oscar Pistorius trial is making waves.
With nicknames such as “Bulldog” and “Pit Bull” it shouldn’t be surprising that prosecution lawyer Gerrie Nel launched his cross-examination of Oscar Pistorius with a ferocious and tenacious attack. So it is no surprise that a parody has been created!
From T-shirts to Roux-isms, the Oscar Pistorius trial has impacted on popular SA culture like no other high-profile trial has. Now brothers Josh and Brad Klynsmith from hit Durban band Gangs of Ballet, have added to the chorus of parodies, this time focusing on firebrand state prosecutor, Gerrie Nel.
Josh and Brad’s take on the All American Rejects hit Hope It Gives You Hell was played on East Coast Radio this morning. Their version is called I’m Gerrie Nel.
