Footage of murder accused paralympian Oscar Pistorius, re-enacting the night he shot Reeva Steenkamp is reportedly set to be broadcast in Australia by television company, Sunday Night.
The video, that was reportedly shot by an American company as part of Pistorius’s pre-trial preparation, is making headlines across the world.
According to Sunday Night the video shows Pistorius with an imaginary gun in his hand and walking on his stumps and how he how he pulled Reeva from the bathroom. The athlete used his sister to demonstrate in the video.
His lawyers are reportedly set to take legal action amidst release of the footage.
“We are busy taking action against the Australian media house [that has the video],” his attorney Brian Webber told Sapa.
“They have no right to broadcast the video. We will deal with it accordingly,” Webber added.
Pistorius is charged with murdering his girlfriend Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day last year. He has pleaded not guilty to the charge of murder and to three firearm-related charges.
He is currently on trial at Pretoria’s High Court.
We watched the one minute video and to be honest, there was nothing shocking about this leaked video besides seeing Oscar in his stumps re-enacting the actions of that night in which he killed his girlfriend. More than anything this video looks like a trailer for the promotion of another Oscar Pistorius documentary set to be released.
