Politicians unimpressed by Generations: Legacy

Wow. Micky Mouse Clowns! That’s what the National Freedom Party youth had to say about the return of Mzansi’s biggest soapie, Generations: Legacy.  You’ll have already seen that our other ZAlebs writer, Zee, wasn’t too impressed with the soapie’s comeback and the youth team from the NFP are even less so. They’ve gone as far as suggesting that we should all boycott the show. Nobody was as upset as NFP Youth secretary general, Maria Busi Tshabalala who spoke to the press earlier today.

“We are very disappointed at the manner in which the SABC and the big-headed Mr Mfundi Vundla handled the matter of the ex-Generations actors,”

Now, Mfundi Vundla has received a lot of flack in the last couple of days prior to and following the return of the show. Even now people aren’t happy with his treatment of the fired actors. Tshabalala continued to add,

“To the clowns who agreed to work in this new boring soapie, we warn them that once Mr Vundla has used them, he will throw them away as well and look for new buffoons.

“As the NFPYM we are not apologetic in our firm support of the axed actors. We are 100% behind them and we call on all South Africans to do the same by boycotting Generations.”

Eish, don’t you sometimes just want to tell people “Guy/girl, it’s just a TV show…” I know I do!
