R&B singer Puff Johnson passes on

Social media is abuzz this morning as the news of American R&B singer Puff Johnson’s passing makes the rounds.

Puff spent three years of her life living in South Africa and unfortunately had to head back home to the USA as her cancerous condition became too critical.  Whilst living in South Africa she formed a relationship with one half of Hip-Hop Jozi member Ishmael and was apparently also in the process of recording her second album whilst here.

However, in recent years the 40-year-old singer shied away from the media and very few people actually knew or realised how ill she had become.

Johnson had been suffering from stage four cervical cancer when she was rushed to hospital last night. According to a website known as baydu.co.za, Johnson passed on due to excessive internal bleeding.

The songbird was known for hits such as Forever More and Over and Over.
