The first single and music video off of Simphiwe Dana’s comeback album, Nzima, is one of three songs on the album inspired by the Marikana Massacre. The song sets the tone for an album that is as political as it is soulful and beautiful.
Dana has been busy of late. The singer also released a few tracks in Kenya which are already making an impact on the Kenyan iTunes Charts.
After the stunning job in the continent, Simphiwe is now ready to return home and share the sprightly sounds of her new album with her people. On the 20th of November, Dana released her album live on Kaya FM to tremendous response.
The public launch experience, which took place during a live on-air broadcast, included an in-studio audience which engaged with Dana during the listening session in a Q&A.
In the next two weeks Simphiwe Dana’s new album will be available to stream for free on simfyafrica.com
The album will be available in stores next Monday 24 November.
