The Sprite Uncontainable Hip Hop talent search is back and is set to scout for South Africa’s most outspoken and uncontainable talent in dance, emceeing and graffiti.
The Sprite Uncontainable talent search has become a part of South Africa’s Hip Hop culture.
“Sprite seeks to provide a platform and an audience for youth to be uncontainable and express their true self. We want to tell them: ‘Obey you, your truth is refreshing and the world is thirsty for you,'” said Sprite’s Brand Manager, Hlukani Rikhutso.
The top 12 finalists, made up of four contestants in each of the three categories will compete at the finals event in August. The competition will culminate in a trip to the USA, where the winners will have an experience of a lifetime in New York City.
Mernoly Simba from Masters of Rhythm and award-winning rapper, Reason, will again take centre stage as the judges responsible for identifying the next star in the Sprite Uncontainable talent search. The pair will be joined by renowned graffiti artist, George ‘Mars’ Kalapov. The public will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite contestants online.
Auditions started Johannesburg on Sunday, 27 April and are set go to Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Durban and Witbank.
Auditions will run until Friday, 30 May.
