There thousands of people around the world who would probably say they have no idea why Kim Kardashian (or any of the Kardashians for that matter) is famous. I know, because I am one of those people. Keep in mind though, while we’re laughing at what Kim Kardashian calls “work”, she’s laughing all the way to the bank.
Speaking at the Re/Code Code Mobile Conference, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was asked why she thinks people don’t take her seriously, to which she replied, “That is a question that I sometimes get frustrated with. I pride myself in my work ethic, and I work really hard.”
She also went on to say, “I don’t think reality TV gets the respect it deserves.”
Taking into consideration that Kim first shot to fame because of a sex tape, it’s not that difficult to see why people might not take her seriously. Be that as it may, Kim is still raking in millions through her reality show, as well as many other businesses, which include a make-up line, boutiques, books and other endorsement deals.
The reality star also pointed out that filming for KUWTK is not all fun and games, saying that she wakes up at 6am and sometimes ends up filming until 8 or 9pm. “It’s an everyday job for me” she adds.
