Style inspiration from Zaba!

Zaba’s sense of style is unmatched and her chameleon-like take on fashion is ever changing and flawless. ZAlebs chatted to the young entrepreneur about her plans for 2013 and her love for fashion.

For twenty-two-year-old Zabalazile Amanda Simbine, Zaba, looking good comes with the job. She believes style matters more than fashion trends and this Zaleb is always on cue with her style.

Zaba’s constantly attending meetings, hosting functions and appearing in the media. You get the feeling that every day is a dress-up day. Her style is everything from high-end to rocker chick.

“I don’t believe in fashion but I do believe everyone can be stylish. Fashion is an expression of you. Just do your own thing with your clothes. People must always be stylish and not follow fashion trends.”

For us, fashion and otherwise, Zaba is certainly ahead of the game. The path to fame can be a speedy one these days, but few people have been propelled into the spotlight quite as swiftly as Zaba.

Zaba is a radio presenter on East Coast Radio, a presenter on Hecticnine9, the face of Sass Diva 2012, a restaurant owner and talent scout. She can speak an array of different languages, is sassy, vibrant, young and passionate about life.

“I have always wanted to retire by 30 so I am working hard to achieve this. My parents instilled a strong work ethic when I was growing up and I love what I do. It really does not feel like work. This year I want to get my own shoe range in stores, pitch a TV show, try out national radio and hopefully interview big international stars.”

So how does she manage to look so good when she steps out the door?

“I love dressing up. My favourite items at the moment are wedge heels. They can be used anywhere, anytime. I love tribal prints and leggings. It is hard finding a pair of jeans that fits so leggings and jeggings are great.”

What should women stay away from?

“Boyfriend jeans! Women never look good in them. Cut out dresses are also not for every shape and I really don’t like ballet pumps. Women tend to drag their feet when they wear them.”

In the video below, Zaba shares her favourite work looks and style secrets…
