The only Acoustic album you’ll ever need

Quick facts

Acoustic 2014 is a double album featuring 30 songs by some artists you might have heard of and some you would discover for the first time when you listen to the album. And the songs are all done acoustic style. The sheer brilliance of the idea and the selection of songs cannot be described and one wishes the audio could just serve as the actual review. There truly isn’t one false note and your ears will thank you for exposing them to the acoustic renditions of songs like “Escape” by Kongos, “Heartbreaker” by Matthew Mole (yes, a cover of the will.i.am song), “Grafitti on a train” by Stereophonics, “Songbird” by Eva Cassidy, “Lucky Lucy” by Tailor, “Hey Now” by London Grammar, “Let her go” by Passenger and “Mercy” by Dave Matthews Band.

Best tracks

Yoav’s “We all are dancing,” The Civil Wars’ “Poison & Wine,” Foy Vance’s “Joy of Nothing,” London Grammar’s “Hey Now,” Nakhane Toure’s “Just like Heaven” and Family Of The Year’s “Hero.”

What we have to say

We’d rather the music speak for itself… but suffice to say this is one of those CDs that should be on everyone’s MUST HAVE lists.

It makes us wanna

 “…put it on repeat…”

In their own words

From the album sleeve notes, Just Music describes the meaning of “Acoustic” as follows:

Check out this video by our very own Nakhane Toure just to get a glimpse of exactly what you’d have in store if you were thinking of purchasing this album!
