Think Like A Man Too soundtrack officially out

We can’t remember the last time we were this excited for an official launch of a soundtrack and when we found out that the Think Like a Man Too soundtrack is officially available for purchase all sorts of excitement went through us. Not only does the movie consist of some of the most gorgeous African American actors/actresses but this soundtrack promises to be as good as the 2012 soundtrack of the first movie if not better. R&B queen Mary J. Blige recorded 14 new songs, simultaneously capturing her trademark style and the vibrant feel of the film all at once.

This soundtrack also made us reminisce on some of our other favorite African American movie soundtracks. Let’s stroll down memory lane shall we?

No on screen couple made us fall in love like Omar Epps and Sanaa Lathan in their 2000 movie Love & basketball, the soundtrack of this movie made us fall even deeper in love with songs like “I wanna be your man” by Zapp & Roger and “Sweet Thing” by Rufus & Chaka Khan. Then there was the Best Man soundtrack with hits like Maxwell’s “let’s not play the game” and Beyonce’s “After all is said and done” which kind of made one want to get married right then and there, despite our young age. (Credit image: Ublushmagazine.com)

This was also one of our favourite soundtracks from the hopelessly romantic movie Love Jones starring Larenz Tate and the gorgeous Nia Long who is aging so gracefully! A Neo Soul packed album featuring hits such as “Hopeless” by Dionne Farris and “The Sweetest Thing” by Lauryn Hill. So will the Think Like A Man Too soundtrack top this previous three soundtracks? We’ll just have to wait and see. (Credit Image: madamanoir.com)
