According to eNCA reports, Kazier Chiefs midfielder George Lebese has been released on bail of R1,000 after he allegedly assaulted and damaged his girlfriend’s car on Sunday.
The Chiefs’ player handed himself over to the police on Tuesday night, however the police denied this claim, stating that Lebese had to be lured into a meeting by a police officer, who had to use a false identification to get him to speak.
According to eNCA reporter, Lirandzu Themba, Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that due to Lebese’s misdemeanour he will not be playing in today’s match against Bloemfontein Celtics.
Lebese will appear in court on the 9th of March 2015.
