So it looks like Internationally renowned collaborations are the new black, eh? AKA has teamed up with Wizkid and Ice Prince to feature on American star, Jeremih’s remix of his smash hit, Don’t Tell Em. I have to say, I really love the fact that these American artists are loving us this much. It’s no longer about just showing admiration or mentioning us in Instagram posts; they actually want to collaborate with talented African musicians.
They say great music doesn’t need to have a specific language, and this could not be more true of the Don’t Tell Em remix. It features three African artists of dramatically different backgrounds as well as an American singer; but it all blends in nicely and works out to be a great track. Well done to AKA for flying the SA flag high, as well as to Wizkid and Ice Prince who are showing that Africa is a true home for musical talent.
