With Every season of SA Idols we come across an audition that gets people buzzing for days on end. It’s usually an audition that manages to entertain viewers and charm the judges (Who usually give the contestant three emphatic yesses) and from the very early stages its usually possible to see that this contestant will go far.
This week it was Cape Town’s Liza Mynhardt who stole the show with her rendition of Kanye West and Jay Z’s hit No Church in the Wild. If you didn’t watch this week’s episode of SA Idols, you probably won’t understand the hype around this Liza person; in fact, we bet you’re wondering “How on Earth could a sweet little girl pull off a Kanye West song?” Yeah, she stole the show with that song as well as a Bruce Springsteen cover for her “second audition” which was so good it had Randall singing along- yes, Randall!
Thankfully for you, we don’t want you to be left out of all of those watercooler discussions at work, so we’ve decided to track down the video of her audition (It wasn’t hard- considering it’s on Mnet’s website!) and we have it here for your listening pleasure.
