Mi Casa have released their 5th single and 5th music video from their debut album Mi Casa.
Title: All The Glory
Producer: Dan Odendaal
Director: Brad Devine
Production Design: Mia Zwiegers
Editing/Post: Rowan Cloete – @ Tint Post Production
The setting was the central city of Johannesburg, and the characters were from all four corners of the earth. All the Glory, a ‘gospel’ house track, was expected to display a typical church setting and yet once again Mi Casa turned it all upside down. Browse our photos from the shoot here.
The music video starts with J’Something (the lead vocalist of the band) running to catch the ‘Glory Bus’ on time. Upon his arrival he meets his fellow band members, Mo-T (the trumpeter) and Dr.Duda (producer/dj). Mi Casa then chat amongst themselves discussing the plan for the day and whom they plan on picking up for this glorious ride.
The first lady on board is a Catholic nun. Dr.Duda greets her and chauffer’s her into the bus. And so the journey begins. The Glory bus, one by one, picks up people of different religious beliefs and everyone interacts and sings one song.
“The song, All the Glory never once relates to a Jesus, it just relates to a God. The purpose of the music video was to show that we are all together and need to respect each others beliefs, and at the end of the day we are all worshipping a God of some form. This is why the Glory bus held all these different people from different backgrounds. What was amazing to see was the vibe it created inside the bus, people were all explaining their religious beliefs and everyone was so respectful to one another,” says J’Something.
