By Zee Nonjabulo on 06 September 2015 at 07:54 · Comments
Refiloe Mpakanyene is on a mission to create a nation of readers in our country.

Metro FM’s very own news reader, Refiloe Mpakanyene, launched her annual book drive on 4 September, in collaboration with McDonald's South Africa and South African National Book week.

According to her team, the book drive is in its second year running and will focus on four schools in the East Rand area, as well as other pre-schools.

"I am passionate about books and reading. Life cannot be complete without books. I want to contribute to the great work that SA National Books and others are doing to revive the passion for books and literature within young people of The East Rand. This small but dynamic metro has played such an interesting role during the struggle and really is so often overlook.” Refiloe said in a statement.
