There was drama on the set of ‘Generations’ last week when actress Winnie Modise, who plays Khethiwe on the soap, reportedly failed to show up for work causing an episode rewrite.
Modise was allegedly too busy organising the Royalty Soapie Awards to come and shoot her scenes.
Executive producer of the soap Mfundi Vundla, was reportedly fuming after Modise didn’t show up and cut scenes with the actress.
A source told Daily Sun that Mfundi became “very angry” and said Modise’s scenes should be “dropped”.
“He also told wardrobe guys and the make-up department that they should focus on other actors,” the paper’s insider claimed.
Another source added: “Winnie was supposed to have shot her scenes but she wasn’t available. She was called several times by the producers.
“She kept on telling them that she would come when she was done with her other commitments.”
In a twist, Mfundi is reportedly claimed to have said he is not angry with the actress for missing work.
“I’m not angry at Winnie. We’ll catch up,” he explained
