"I want you to make me the happiest man alive. I want to be part of your mess. We have been dating for quite some time so I would like to make it official," said a smitten Mampintsha as he got down on one knee.
Thereafter he hinted that the lobola negotiations were going to take place soon after their proposal by sharing pictures of the cows he had picked out. Taking to social media, Babes' family announced that the cows reached the Simelane household and the Maphumulo's are ready to take their wife.
Babes thanked her family for ensuring that everything went according to plan. Shimora's family was and still is equally excited for the couple and speaking to Sunday World, one of his family members said although he is set on making Babes his forever, he was also pressured by her family to do the right thing.
"He has made up his mind and wants to spend the rest of his life with Babes. He was also getting a lot of pressure from the Simelanes, who are very religious, to put a ring on it, because the two were living together," said the family member to the publication.
The couple's manager Sbusiso Ncube reluctantly confirmed that their lobola negotiations will be documented on their reality show Uthando Lodumo. The couple inked a lucrative deal with Showmax making them R3 million richer Their reality series is titled Uthando Lodumo and will premiere early 2021.
