Queen B stays doing the most for Supa Mega! In addition to her new policy of blocking fans who have anything negative to say about her rapper boyfriend, media personality Bonang Matheba, threw AKA a party on Monday night at the Saxon hotel in Hyde Park to celebrate his latest GQ Magazine cover.
The intimate affair saw a number of South Africa’s most famous rappers in attendance, including the likes of frequent AKA collaborator, Yanga as well as Tumi Molekane, Ma-E, K.O and JR Bogopa – who took to Twitter this morning to thank Matheba for hosting what he called ‘an epic night.’
Look last night was epic ok! 🎉. Thanks @bonang_m o berekile!

While Matheba is used to racking up magazine covers, the latest being the October issue of Glam Africa magazine, the GQ cover is a major coup for AKA as he is the first musician to be featured on a cover of GQ South Africa.
The October issue of GQ South Africa is also a pretty big deal because it is linked to the brand’s Best Dressed Men of the Year Awards which has become one of South Africa’s premier dates on the social calendar. AKA was once featured on this list back in 2011 so we wonder if he’ll crack the nod again this year.
The couple even shared a kiss whilst AKA walked into the room filled with close friends and family.
Here are some of the pictures from the night.
