DJ Zinhle and Pearl Thusi arguably have one of the longest standing celebrity friendships in ZAlebs contemporary history by any measure. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that their friendship similar to ZAlebrity relationships, the friendship has faced immense scrutiny throughout the years.
In the years since, the Zulu girls have grown their squad to include Nomuzi “Moozlie” Mabena, who is believed to have taken Thusi’s spot as DJ Zinhle’s bestie and Creative Director at Era by DJ Zinhle. With other “cast members” of the "Zulu Girl ZAlebrity Squad" including singer and influencer Thabsie and Kwesta’s wife Yolanda Vilakazi. Friendship breakup rumours between Pearl and DJ Zinhle have in recent years been on the upsurge.
Zinhle describes her sisterhood with Pearl as “seasonal”
DJ Zinhle was one of the latest stars to sit across now lauded breakfast radio show co-hosts Dineo Ranaka and Sol Phenduka on Kaya 959 Breakfast. While the DJ and businesswoman spoke on different aspects of her life including her marriage, children and new music as she released her new single Ngisimamise with Mvzzle and Sindi Nkosazana.
It was only a matter of time until DJ Zinhle was asked to address her friendship with Pearl Thusi. As such, when asked about the state of her friendship with her best friend who she fondly refers to as Sthe, Zinhle shared that:
“Uhm, it’s good. Uhm, uhm, we have a sisterhood, uhm, and like with any other sisterhood there are seasons man. But we love each other dearly, uhm. We speak often; like I said, we have a sisterhood and like with any other sisterhood it is seasonal.”
But allegedly when it comes to Zinhle needing to do the same, she is mum on the social media accounts. As such, it seems that Zinhle was tired of being dragged over the matter as she put her Boulevard sparkling wine aside and opted to have a drink of Pearl Thusi’s gin, Black Rose. But more than that, Zinhle shared two posts on her timeline with the brand tagged in her stories.
