The untimely and shocking death of acclaimed rapper Riky Rick is still hot on everyone's lips as the country is yet to come to terms with the loss of such a great legend.

We have seen fellow celebrities and public figures take their time to mourn with the family as well as share their tributes to honor his memory and it is such a beautiful sight to see.

Award winning artist and TV Broadcaster Loyiso Bala has not been left behind either. He recently took to his Instagram in a lengthy post that has left many in tears with fellow industry mates pondering on what to do next as an industry.

In his post, the media personality starts by acknowledging that it is no coincidence that the country is losing a lot of people in the entertainment industry.

Ever since the pandemic hit, Loyiso shares that many in the industry lost their jobs and properties and had to go for regular jobs so that they could put food on the table.

Other than the industry still being unstable, the presenter continued to share that being a celebrity has always meant that they find it hard to get leases or loans from banks because their profession is deemed high risk.

Add to the fact that they are always being cyber bullied and fans always believe that they are spoiled brats and easily have things handed to them on a silver platter when that is really not the case.

“Without knowing the full circumstances surrounding Ricky Rick's death, all I ask is that our society show more compassion for all those involved in the arts, especially at this difficult time. When possible, pray for us, defend us, and show us love.”

“My heart goes out to his family and everyone who admired him and were impacted by his life. Rest in Power, my dear brother…”

It is good to see that Mzansi continues to pay tribute to the late Riky Rick and celebrities continue to speak out against depression that is crippling the entertainment industry.

We can only hope that this will be the last death we will be hearing for a while, and continue to send strength and comfort to the family of Riky Rick.
