Savita Mbuli has refuted claims that she is engaged, and has admitted she is not interested in marriage.
The Sunday Sun reported recently that Savita was set to marry her businessman beau after he popped the question.
But Savita told the Sunday Independent she has no plans to walk down the aisle any time soon.
“I am not interested in marriage or a relationship. Maybe in my fifties or sixties for companionship but not any time soon.”
Thursday marks the three-year anniversary of Vuyo Mbuli’s death. He died after collapsing while watching a rugby match in Bloemfontein.
A post-mortem revealed that he suffered a pulmonary embolism.
Savita says she still thinks about Vuyo, and every thing reminds her of him.
“I don’t think I have dealt with the void in our lives yet. Every little thing reminds me of Vuyo. I never used to drive anywhere on my own. Vuyo used to drive me. He was one of those traditional husbands who did grocery shopping. I think of him constantly. It’s going to take me a while to accept that he is not here.”
South Africans will remember Vuyo Mbuli during the “2016 Vuyo Mbuli 10km Memorial Run” in Johannesburg on Sunday.
