The Springbok fly-half recently dominated headlines after his alleged affair went public and he had to publicly apologize to everyone he had hurt through his actions including his wife and children.

Who is Elton Jantjies wife?

Elton Jantjies is married to a woman called Iva Ristic. She is a South African model who has a passion for arts and traveling.

Not much is known about her background and education although she was reportedly born in 1989 and some sources indicate that she has Greek roots.

Sources indicate that she and Elton Jantjies became acquainted online in 2011 but first met in 2014 during a magazine photoshoot and they started dating.

It is unclear exactly when Elton Jantjies and his wife got married but they started their family in 2015 after welcoming their first child together.

Elton Jantjies and his wife have been blessed with three beautiful children- EJ, Noah and Leandro.

Their firstborn EJ was born in September 2015, Noah in March 2017 and their youngest- Leandro was born in May 2019.

Elton Jantjies’ affair

In September 2022, Elton Jantjies trended after reports that he had been involved in an alleged affair with the Springboks dietician- Zeenat Simjee went public after the two were sent home by SA Rugby.

The affair allegations exploded during the team’s training in Mbombela ahead of their test against Los Pumas at Estadio José Amalfitani in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Jantjies reportedly booked himself a guesthouse outside the team’s hotel and was allegedly seen in the company of another one who was believed to be Simjee.

Through their official statement, SA Rugby explained that the two had not broken team protocols but had been sent away Jantjies and Simjee to attend to the personal reports and eliminate any distractions to the team.

Following the alleged affair, Zeenat Simjee denied being romantically involved with the rugby player explaining that she had been with her parents during the said weekend to deal with a family bereavement and that the reports that she had been with Jantjies in the guesthouse were untrue.

Elton Jantjies on the other hand apologized to everybody his actions had hurt or disappointed saying that he did not make the Springbok jersey proud.

He further regretted that Zeenat Simjee’s name had been dragged in the whole story although she was not involved in any way.

“For the record, the Springboks dietician, Zeenat Simjee, was never with me at either of the two guesthouses that I stayed at. She is a good friend and nothing more,” part of his statement read.

Elton Jantjies’ wife’s reaction to her husband’s alleged affair

When her husband’s alleged affair first went public, Iva took a break from social media and turned her Instagram account private.

After keeping quiet about the matter for a long time, she eventually opened up about how she felt. In part of her statement, she explained her disappointment in the Springbok management in how lightly they handled the issue saying that she and all Springbok wives were not aware that the behaviour was not against any rules.

It is unclear if the couple’s relationship will ever get back to normal following the whole scandal.
