Seemah Reveals the Real Reason She Was Suddenly Dropped From Spreading Humours

Seemah—whose real name is Sima Mangolwane—has finally broken her silence about the abrupt reason behind her sudden departure from the MacG Podcast & Chill platform.

The singer, DJ, and online content creator first appeared on the network through the Spreading Humours podcast back in 2023. After that, viewers began connecting dots and trading theories when she stopped showing up on the show in March.

Several months later, Seemah returned with a comeback appearance on the Not Sorry podcast, joining Munaka Muthambi, Rei Nkuna, and Nomthandazo Nkosi. Even so, she did not publicly address the rumours that were circulating about what happened behind the scenes.

Now, in a candid recent conversation about mental health with Dr Nokukhanya Khanyile-Lenake, Seemah shared that a painful personal breakup set off a difficult downward spiral that spilled into her professional life.

“It was just something that really hurt my heart, and I started drinking a lot. I was very sad, didn’t want to go out, didn’t want to get out of my room, didn’t want to eat,” she said.

“Month two, felt like I was OK, but I fell back into that state… month three comes, here’s Seemah, she’s drinking, she’s at clubs climbing on tables, dancing the whole day. It was getting a lot. And then it came to work. I get to work drunk. I get to work going through it. It’s either I’m sad or I’m drunk as sh*t or I’m a mess. And then I got fired.”

Seemah also reassured fans that although she’s still working through her relationship with alcohol, she’s in a healthier mental and emotional position today.

“I feel like I’m in a better state now, but the alcohol intake is still a bit.”

Her manager later clarified the circumstances of her exit in an interview with TshisaLIVE, stating that Seemah was dismissed due to consistently arriving late, not because she was intoxicated while working.
