Sisters With Guitars Takes Over Emperors!

Zahara, Berita and Msaki are taking to the stage

Award-winning Singers/Songwriters Zahara, Berita and Msaki are performing at the Sisters with Guitars concert at Emperors Palace on Saturday 15th February 2020. The first of its kind, the concert promises music lovers a good time, an exceptional experience with this incredible lineup, celebrating women in music.

Founded and produced by Thato Radebe, the concert will celebrate African music, bring fans together for a great all-female musical experience.

Zahara is a multi-award-winning artist with platinum-selling albums. She broke into the scene with her timeless anthem Loliwe and continued giving us hits such as Ndiza, Mali, Mgodi and Destiny among others. She has been celebrated for her musical prowess and also faced some challenges in her journey but this East London beauty is still standing and sharing her gifts with the world. Zahara has worked with the likes of Vusi Nova and the Soweto Gospel Choir to name a few.

Msaki has established herself as the voice of this generation, her songwriting abilities have set her apart, her vocals are nothing short of magical. Her music is healing, conscious, thought-provoking and of love. Her debut album Zaneliza: How the Water Moves has been lauded for its brilliance and importance to the culture. Msaki has since worked with various artists, the likes of Black Coffee, Black Motion, Tresor and Prince Kaybee.  Her new single Pearls to Swine featuring Tresor is dominating radio stations across the country.

Berita is an award-winning artist from Zimbabwe, based in South Africa. She has mastered the art of singing in IsiXhosa with some her popular hits sung in the language, most notably, Thandolwethu and Ndicel' ikiss. Berita has performed around the world and worked with the likes of the late Oliver Mtukudzi, Dorothy Masuka, Kid X and DaCapo.

"The aim of this event is to uplift women in music and to show that they can fill big venues by themselves" commented Thato Radebe, producer of the concert.

"We have also decided to partner with female-owned businesses in putting together the concert, the aim is to empower women, that is something we believe should happen everyday not at certain times of the year" concluded Thato.
