Somizi and Mohale through the Somhale foundation are doing their bit to help those in need during the national lockdown.

The couple took to social media to announce their foundation and it's their first project, which kicked off on Saturday.

Somhale on Saturday distributed Makro vouchers to the value of R500 to 400 to families in Freedom Park, an informal settlement in Ekurhuleni.

The couple has encouraged those who are able, to do the same for those around them and called for donations in the form of food, clothing, and blankets.

"We as @somhale_foundation we had an idea that the majority of our ppl are in need but had no idea how dire the situation is," shared Somizi.

Somizi and Mohale join the list of ZAlebs such as Black Coffee, Minnie Dlamini, Bonang Matheba, Thando Thabethe and Lasizwe who have helped those in need to cope with the pandemic.

Do you think more ZAlebs should make donations for those in need?
