Media personality, business woman and brand ambassador Thando Thabethe will be hosting the 6th installment of her annual Thando Thabethe Women’s Day Netball Challenge (TTWDNC) and this time she has partnered with Netball SA.
Thando shared the news via her Twitter page, expressing her pride and excitement, also stating that proceeds from this year’s event will go towards sponsoring a girl who wishes to fulfill her netball dreams.
The TTWDNC is aimed at empowering women, as well as raising awareness around the various issues women from all walks of life face on a daily basis the fundraising event is comprised of a number of teams who each have to contribute towards the cause. Over the past 4 years, the event has raised over R30 000 towards NGOs and charities that work towards the empowerment of women
The news could not have come at better time, as our national Netball team is flying our flag high at this year’s Netball World Cup in England booking themselves a spot in the semifinals following their 67-40 win over Uganda.
Entries for the Thando Thabethe Netball Challenge are now open and can be made on the Thando Thabethe website.
