Outside the city of Harare, about one hour away is a town called Domboshava. For the first time, the International Images Film Festival for Women happened here which made it the first location outside Harare to host the festival.

I was at Domboshava, a rural area East of Zimbabwe where the audience was entertained by a series of films like Boxing for Freedom, At the End of the Rainbow and Ibala among others.

The audience also got to share their opinions of the films watched and met Spanish film director and producer Silvia Venegas.

Also, the Alliance Francaise arena hosted the opening ceremony which was well attended.

Day 2: Domboshava Is Where It All Went Down

Our continued coverage of the festival took our reporters, Agnes Amondi, Vongai Mbara and Letwin Dzomba to different locations - Domboshava, Afrotopia and Alliance Francaise.

Despite a few challenges, the festival went on and our reporters had exciting things to share about their days.
