Producer and musician Nkazimulo Ngema—better known as TNS—is stepping back into the spotlight with a brand-new single, Intombi Entsha, ahead of his upcoming album Amandla kaGogo.
TNS returns with “Intombi Entsha” and a new chapter
While many fans speculated that he had paused his music career, TNS insists he never truly stopped working. Instead of disappearing from the creative process, he says he chose to step away from public view so he could focus on himself, regain balance, and rediscover who he is both as a person and an artist.
- TNS is releasing Intombi Entsha as the first taste of his forthcoming album, Amandla kaGogo.
- The track includes collaborations from Essa Kay, Mnqobi Yazo & Mpumi.
- He says the time away brought him peace, healing, and renewed faith.
- He maintains that he continued creating music during the period people assumed he had stepped back.
Why he stepped out of the spotlight
In comments shared with TshisaLIVE, the hitmaker framed his absence as a reset rather than a departure from the industry. He explained that his break from being visible wasn’t about quitting music—it was about rebuilding after personal and professional pressures left him tested.
“I never really took a break from the industry. I kept releasing music while fixing myself. I had to deal with my own issues because I didn’t want my struggles to affect other people,” he said.
He added that finding stillness helped him reconnect with his identity, and that the period ultimately sharpened his perspective on the industry. “I found peace. I found myself. I found the real Nkazimulo. The time away didn’t only heal me, it strengthened my understanding of the industry and gave me relief after everything I had gone through,” he said.
During that same stretch, TNS also described supporting his wife through illness while trying to process the weight that comes with fame. He says the full experience changed how he sees both life and his career.
Healing, faith, and how it shaped his music
TNS said his recovery led him to reconnect with God, emphasizing that even though his heart was broken, he made a deliberate effort not to be destroyed by the pain. “I reached a place where I connected with God. As much as my heart was broken, I made sure I wasn’t destroyed by it. Only God came to my rescue,” he said.
He believes that journey of healing will be felt in the music fans are about to hear. For him, the comeback is more than a release schedule—it’s the product of personal growth that influenced what he makes and how he approaches the next era.
Album details and the meaning behind the trilogy
His forthcoming album, Amandla kaGogo, is described as a deeply personal trilogy dedicated to his grandmother. TNS credits her sacrifices for helping him pursue his dreams, saying she gave everything she had for him and was there when he felt he had no one.
“My grandmother gave everything she had for me. This album is about her because when I had no one, she was there for me. She means a lot to me, even spiritually,” he said.
As for the choice of Intombi Entsha to kick off this new phase, TNS called it the obvious starting point, pointing to the excitement and chemistry in the studio while recording it.
“There was so much excitement, so much love and high energy in the studio. It felt like the right song to introduce this new chapter,” he said.
The seven-track album Amandla kaGogo is scheduled to be released in August 2026.
