Isono Premieres On Monday 28 September

BET Africa's much-anticipated drama-series Isono, is proving that no coronavirus formed against shall it prosper. This follows after it was forced to go a production break, after the country's coronavirus cases surge.

Taking to Twitter recently, Clive Morris Production made the announcement on the decision to temporarily suspend production on the set of the show.

"Due to ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19 in our country, & the fact that we’ve entered a peak phase, we’ve made a decision to temporarily suspend production on the set of ISONO. Cast & crew’s health and safety remain our 1st priority."

BET assured the masses that the show will be back and they have delivered, "As a result of the temporary production suspension, the #IsonoBET premiere date has been postponed. Brace yourself for the #BETAfricaOriginal coming soon to @dstv channel 129. Re Ya Boya Nou Nou” tweeted BET Africa.

The show was scheduled to be premiere on July 27 and now they are gearing up for another launch. The show will now premiere on Monday 28 September.

Isono features a star-studded cast with the likes of Nthati Moshesh, Rami Chuene, Bohang Moeko, Anga 'Naakmusiq' Makhubalo and Senzo Radebe to mention a few.

Dumisani Mbebe will also join the cast and he will portray the character of Siviwe Mabonga. The actor recently hinted that Siviwe is a good guy.

BET took to social media yesterday to share another trailer of the series. The trailer shows one of the character Mary Ndlovu delivering a powerful sermon with the dark secrets being exposed.

In a synopsis shared by BET, Isono exposes that dark secrets can lead to deadly sins.

Set in the East Rand of Johannesburg, Vosloorus, ISONO is the story of a heroic son (Gabriel) - born into a dysfunctional family - who searches within himself for the strength to stand up against a powerful and evil matriarch (Mother Mary) who will stop at nothing to serve her own needs.

Many fans are already waiting for the show to air with bated breaths and already many are in awe of the trailer.
