South African musician, AKA, has given in to the requests from his fans, after they beg and pleaded for him to add one more song to the album. After announcing his track list last week, AKA has been inundated with tweets, demanding that his song, Iron Duke was added to his upcoming album, Bhovamania.
In a Tweet on Tuesday, 22 September 2020, the rapper stated, “Ok. After careless consideration ... Iron Duke is gonna make it. I’m working on it right now. The cries of The Megacy cannot be ignored.” Fans immediately lost their minds in the comment section, and rejoiced at the fact that had adhered to their requests. Tshego Kgetsi replied with, “I'm in tears right now. Thank You so much for hearing us King. It means a lot to The Megacy.”
AKA released the track list for his upcoming project on Saturday, 12 September 2020, which showed a total of 13 songs. The songs which will be featured in Bhovamania include; his intro, Casino, Heavy Drank, Python, My Heart, Finesse, Holy Water, Energy, Monuments, African Man, Startin’ Now and AKA. One song in particular that grabbed the attention of the public was Mufasa, which is suspected to reference his arch enemy, Cassper Nyovest.
Following the release of his track list, AKA shared visuals of himself in the studio with Sjava and Naakmusiq, however he did not elaborate on whether they would be featured in his album. Seeing as though his track list is complete, fans questioned him on where these musicians fitted in, and assumed that there would be more music to come, aside from Bhovamania.
Other than that, fans demanded that Iron Duke be added onto the track list, as many believed that it is one of the best songs he has ever made. AKA has consistently stated that he didn’t believe that the song was good enough to make it onto the album, although it appears has had a change of heart.
