Award-winning rapper and business man, AKA has shared a detailed update with fans, regarding his upcoming projects. AKA, who recently recovered from COVID-19, didn’t let the virus slow him down as he continued on with his hustle.

In a series of tweets shared today, 1 September 2020, AKA revealed the reason why AKA TV hadn’t been releasing new content in weeks. He stated, “Apologies with the delay of new content on the #AKATV app. I’m busy moving some things around in terms of the business model and on the technical side for a better all-round experience.” The explanation came in response to numerous queries, as fans felt cheated that they were paying a subscription fee, despite receiving no new weekly content as promised. The rapper clarified that customers will be not be charged the monthly fee of R50 until the app is back up and running.
Thereafter, AKA surprised fans with the impending release of a new Bhovamania project, which is expected to release in the near future. He shared that the project has been completed in its entirety, with all verses and arrangements being done. Tweeps couldn’t help by draw a comparison to his arch nemesis, Cassper Nyovest, who is gearing up for the release of his new album, Any Minute Now, which drops on Friday, 11 September 2020.
Followers requested that the Bhovamania project drop on the same day as Cassper’s album, as they accused him of trying to steal his thunder. Sthohile Bebe stated, “This is classic mega. The only marketing plan he has is to start beef with someone else. He couldn’t give this month to Cassper, he had to start something for nothing. Mxm.”
AKA continued with his update list in a subsequent tweet, revealing that his Bhovamania merch is in manufacturing, and he is patiently waiting for the first samples which should arrive this week Friday. He concluded with, “Colours look insane and the quality is out of this world. I’m actually wearing a plain unprinted hoodie today.”
