When everyone is sharing intimate and romantic love with their lovers in the month of love-February, AKA is sharing a different kind of love, the finer love, the love of giving and helping the needy.

After donating R100,000 and food to students at the University of Witwatersrand (Wits) a fortnight ago after students went on a hunger strike, demanding that classes should be stopped until the university addressed their fees and accommodation grievances.

The protest saw clashes between students and university security details at the Braamfontein Main Campus. Protesting students embarked on a hunger demanding free accommodation for those affected by historical debt.

As if it was not enough AKA has extended his helping hand by launching a music scholarship program for his followers named The Megacy Kid in partnership with MTV Base and Rise Academy South Africa.

AKA made the announcement on Instagram… “We Are ready to help SA’s top aspiring young talent break into the music industry, Want to know what it takes to make it big? We’ll teach you,”

The rapper is giving away two scholarships for aspiring musicians to learn the ropes of the music industry with Rise Academy.

This is not the first time AKA has given back in the form of bursaries,  the rapper once partnered with SAE Institute and Bridges for Music to fund Sound Production students at SAE.

The scholarship covered a full year's tuition for SAE’s full-time Higher Certificate in Sound Production at the Cape Town campus.

Other ZAlebs who have bankrolled bursaries are AKA’s former lover, Bonang Matheba who in 2016 partnered with Boston Media House to afford 10 young women an opportunity to fulfill their dreams.

Queen B launched the bursary after a needy student took it to twitter to plead for help as she was failing to pay her tuition fees; upon seeing the tweet, which caught Bonang’s attention who then launched rescued her and launched the scheme.

DJ Sbu's has been assisting several successful matriculants at the beginning of every year, by paying tuition for them to further their studies.

The Black Coffee Foundation, by wheel spinner and producer Nkosinathi Maphumulo together with Bridges for Music, are bankrolling tuition for physically challenged students who hold a grade 12 certificate.

The bursary covers the full tuition for the selected students to study a one year full-time Higher Certificate in Sound Production, at SAE's Cape Town's campus.
