The star gave her followers a performance singing at her father Bishop Welcome Simelane,'s church yesterday on Sunday.

Sharing a video of her performance she also complained about her hair not being in a good state, her caption wrote "At church izolo kwamaphumulo kodwa izinwele zami guys." It translates to "at church yesterday at the Maphumulo's. My hair though guys."

After sharing the video, her followers were applauding her for taking it to church however some people were not comfortable with her tight, cleavage showing dress, saying it was a bit disrespectful to wear at church.

Babes has always opened up about loving church and how happy she is for making her family proud despite not becoming a gospel singer.

In an interview with Afternoon Express two years ago she said she is a proud church girl who loves God. " Babes Wodumo is a girl from the township…who loves God a lot…a person who loves to have a good time, I love having a good time, wherever people are having a good time I follow.

“If there’s a need for me to be voted for, he stands on the pulpit and asks the congregation to vote for me, my dad is full of love, he wears shirts that are written ‘Babes Wodumo’ and says: “Can you see who I look like?”…and he’d say “Do you know Babes Wodumo? I’m her father” So I think they are proud of me“.

Despite her father being proud of her, he had gone to the media earlier this year to speak negatively about Mampinstsha and Babes Wodumo's relationship slamming Shimora and accusing him of using 'withcraft' on Babes.

In a desperate bid to save his daughter, Bongekile "Babes Wodumo" Simelane, he pleaded with church-goers across South Africa to please pray for his daughter, becaus ehe believed she was under Shimora's spell.

Speaking to Daily Sun at the time, he said  “Sometimes she does strange things. She behaves like a possessed person. It’s like she’s out of her mind. She’s tried to leave Mampintsha many times, but he lures her back. I’m hurting because he won’t let her go.”

However, the two men in Babe's life have buried the hatchet as her father was featured in Mampintsha's music video. Fans were left in awe when they spotted Reverend Simelane in their collaborative music video Elamonti. The song features Babes and Professor and is shot in Lamontville, Durban
