Babes has been told by trolls that she has frizzled out and is no longer the big star she was years back. The Wololo hitmaker spent the most of 2021 being a wife and a mother for the first time that fans missed her music and stage performances.

Not that she was sitting and folding her arms raising her son, she was busy shooting for her reality show Uthando lodumo which is now going to be available on Mzansi Magic.

Babes Wodumo saw all the nasty comments and tried to clap back but that still did not change people's opinion about her, saying she is a "has-been." But, she is set on proving people wrong by hosting her very first concert which is called  A Night In Concert.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Babes said, “Firstly, I’m excited because this is the first time I get to host my own show. Secondly, what’s important for me right now is to reconnect with people who love Babes and her music, and all the music lovers. I cannot wait to get onto that stage and perform for my fans. This is an event that I want to mark as the festive season’s party starter in KZN,” she told the paper.

Joining her on the Night In Concert are superstars Sjava, DJ Lag and Que DBN.  “It will be a night of great performances,” she added. At the concert fans can expect some of Babes' fire hits from way back when to her newest releases.

To support Mama KaSpontshi, buy your tickets at Webtickets, from R200 and gain VIP access for R400 only. You can witness the Gqom star at the Durban Amphitheater in North Beach on December 3.

Babes is currently in studio working on her EP which she anticipates will shake the streets. Fans can also lookout for her single with Diplo.

This year Babes got body shamed, mom shamed, wife shamed etc., and got reduced to a has-been. Since Kamo Mphela's rise, Babes' has become nothing but a shadow in a lot of hater's eyes. But our fave is not letting trolls win at all!

What we admire most about Babes is the love she has for her son and husband, Mampintsha.

Many people have been wondering when is she going to revel her sons face but she told Daily Sun that they are hiding it for his protection. "Social media users have a tendency to post nasty comments. They don't consider the feelings of the person whom they are commenting about. That is the cruelty that us celebrities have to deal with almost everyday. This cruelty doesn't affect only us but our families as well.” said Babes.

"So as caring parents we can't exposé our son to such cruelty."

They are remaining secretive so much to the point where they have not even revealed his name yet. People, including them, call him Sponge which comes after Mampintsha's mom went on a rant after Babes and Mampintsha did not invite her to their wedding.

In her rant, Zama Gumede, Shimora's mom, claimed that Babes was not pregnant and that she used a sponge to fake her pregnancy. This gave them a window of opportunities to mock her by naming their baby Spontshi.

“We are aware that people want to see Sponge. Some want to know his real name but they must wait. That will be revealed when the time is right. For now, while they are waiting they must focus on enjoying our music.”
