Comedian Lasizwe Dambuza recently announced his hot new gig: he will be hosting a Mini Roast by Comedy Central Africa. The show is set to premiere on YouTube at 7:00pm on 10th November, 2021.
Both Lasizwe and Comedy Central have shared snippets of the episode, and the internet is eating it up! His set will be heavy on satire, which he excels at. One of the clips shows the comedian making fun of hustle culture and the pyramid schemes that have grown out of it. He talks about how tough it is to be young and struggling to make money and take care of oneself mentally, spiritually and in all other ways that matter, while a pyramid scheme tries to scam people of whatever little money they have made, In his usual style, he makes fun of the serious matter by promising fans a house in 20 years if they send him R5,000. But itโs a joke, guys. Lasizwe is not trying to scam you!
The announcement has been met with a lot of excitement from his fellow celebrities and his fans alike. His half-sister and famous actress, Khanyi Mbau, was the first to jump on the news, commenting โTRY ME BRIAN TRRRRYYYY ME YEZWA!!!โ. Lasizwe responded that he would definitely roast Khanyi Mbau, and once again brought up the legendary drama of Khanyi leaving her boyfriend, Kudzai, abruptly in Dubai following an argument. These siblings have such a fun relationship and we love to see it.

Singers Nadia Nakai and Londie London also expressed their excitement to watch the show, as they acknowledged that Lasizwe never fails to make people laugh. โLol!!!! This is gonna be lit!!! ๐๐๐ฅโ, Nadia Nakai commented, and Londie said she loved it already. Actress Jessica Nkosi has also offered her congratulations, as well as Nigerian beauty queen Ronke Tiamiyu.
Fans are also excited for the show, and have poured their support on Lasizwe. He has one of the most loyal fan bases in the country, dubbed the Swiries, so it is no surprise that everything he touches turns to gold. He just recently bagged a lucrative deal with Steers, and has also been the brand ambassador for Fanta Orange.
He also has a lengthy portfolio of his own shows. In addition to his short comedy skits, he has a YouTube talk show called Drink or Tell the Truth, on which he interviews celebrities, addressing some of the funniest or most interesting reasons they trended online.
