Several stars from Mzansi star in the award-winning singers visual love letter to Africa, her album "The Lion King: The Gift". Gomora actress Connie Chiume, singer and actress Nandi Madida, actor Warren Masemola and Vusi Nyaniso Dzedze are just some of the local stars who were spotted in the trailer for the film.
Whilst many were excited about the film, some were not pleased as they were worried about not being able to watch it as it would be broadcast on Disney Plus which is not available in South Africa but the powers that be have heard the cries.
M-Net has announced that it will be broadcasting the highly anticipated Black Is King film.
The broadcaster is yet to share screening details for DStv subscribers but some are worried that it might only be available for premium customers.
On Sunday an extended trailer was released which showed a few more famous faces such as Naomi Campbell, Kelly Rowland and Tina Knowles-Lawson that are in the film.
