Award-winning duo Thabo "Smol" Mabongwane (31) and Robert/Bongani "DJ Murdah" Mohosana (30) have been blessing us with hits after hit for a little over a decade now and have made it almost impossible to think of house music without thinking about their music.
These two musical geniuses are undoubtedly one of those groups that don't need an introduction. Give them a stage, speakers and drums, and these two will put together one of the best shows you will ever see. Its not too much to call them the kings of the "two-man show" is it? Because if its a performance you're looking for, it's a performance you'll get. These two will definitely give you your money's worth.

Now there are plenty reasons besides the fact that they gave us one of the best hits of 2015 when they joined forces with the Queen vocalist herself Bucie and birthed "Rejoice". This song still goes in.

Here are 5 reasons why we will always be on team Black Motion:
1. Their passion
Many make music and many are good at it, but only a chosen few make music that they're good at with a passion like these two do. If you've been to one of their shows then you know how heartwarming it is to see someone be so good at something they're passionate about. You really got to love what you do to sweat this much after a performance.
Fans don't even need to hear your music to join you in dance, just seeing how passionate you are is enough to drive fans over the fence, literally.
2. Proudly South African sound
It's easy to fall into the trap of Western/American way of doing music, I mean almost everyone in the industry is doing it, but not these two. Even when they signed to international record label "Sony", their true African sound didn't change. No matter where they are around the world, the African sound in their music will forever shine through.

3. Their Fashion Sense
I don't know a pair who loves the mountain hat like these two do. Whether they're suited up in their casual street wear or rocking a suit they've made this hat part of their signature look. It's almost as if their look is incomplete without it.
4. The brotherhood
One of the best ways to make any relationship last, as corny as this may sound is communication. We've seen many groups, bands, friends and even families fall out because of bad communication. One of the reasons these two love each other so much is how they get along so well. Growing up in the streets of Soshanguve, the duo always knew they wanted to make music together and their shared vision, hard work and great communication has paid off. 8 years down the line and they are still as tight as ever.
5. Dance duo
So both Thabo and Bongani know how to dance, and to be honest, their dance moves are part of why we're playing for their team. Not only do they bless us with great dance music, they teach us how to dance to it as well. If you haven't seen Smol and his girlfriend Sedy dance we'd advice you do that immediately.
