The list was posted by City Press and is divided into two parts of the most admired men and women in the world according to South Africans as they listed their top 26.

In the male section Barack Obama holds the number 1 spot, with Trevor Noah, Cyril Ramaphosa, Bill Gates and American president Donald Trump following making up the top 5.

Bonang beats the world's biggest superstar Beyonce Knowles who is at number 9, South African born Charlize Theron who is at number 6, as well as South African politicians Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma who is at number 10 and at number 12 is Helen Zille.

Bonang's success and influence is undeniable as she keeps breaking barriers and raises the bar very high.

Bonang Matheba has so much to celebrate from her two-part reality special  'A Very Bonang Year' raking in over two million views, to featuring in Charlamagne Tha God's Black Effect podcast with iHeartMedia, to her very own prestigious House Of BNG being the best selling MCC at Woolworths.

The champagne brand was launched in 2019 and became popular, it was even named the MCC for Sun Met 2020 earlier this year.

Apart from being a successful business woman, her accolades are also a match from scooping the E! Peoples Choice Award for African Influencer of the Year Award. Bonang said: "I think the timing is the most important thing for me, for E! Entertainment to recognise the African continent right now ... to see the African continent for what it is right now, and I think for myself to be at the peak of my career."

She was also nominated in the Inspiration and Influence category at the Global Social Awards last year. All these are an addition to her already full award cabinet.

Recently B took home the Coolest Online Influencer at the Sunday Times Gen Next Awards for 2020 which are an annual youth brand preference and consumer behaviour event which is a barometer of what South African youth find trendy and influential.

Congrats Bonang!
