Nigerian musician now international superstar Burna Boy is still in complete disbelief for not taking a Grammy award home. The singer has gone to lambast the Recording Academy for robbing him in broad day light.

A robust debate has taken over the social media streets following the 65th Grammy Awards ceremony which was held in Los Angeles over the weekend. While some artists, musicians and creatives were celebrating their wins, others took to social media to lambast the Recording Academy.

Nigerian singer Burna Boy is another artist that is certainly not jumping for joy at the Grammy's night outcome. Burna Boy lost to South African singers Nomcebo Zikode, Zakes Bantwini together with Wouter Kellerman under the Best Global Music Performance category.

Evidently, this loss came very unexpected as Burna Boy's hit song Last Last has suddenly became a anthem of a song. Taking to Instagram, Burna Boy has taken another swing at the Grammy's while calling out the Recording Academy for snubbing him his win.

"The Grammys is full of shit and lies! We all know that. Nobody else deserves that shit but me. They can't stop me not now not ever!!!" wrote Burna Boy

Just when tweeps thought Burna Boy was done venting, it became evident that not winning a Grammy Award is still a hard pill to swallow. The following day after the award ceremony, Burna Boy took to Instagram to pretty much voice some of his grievances for feeling robbed.

"Even after assembling the Avengers on my album Grammy still chose to shenk me. Btw my happiness still be my own" wrote Burna Boy
Undeniably, his album was very much celebrated in the United States as well. Soon after the release of his album Love, Damini, Burna Boy earned him a spot to walk and perform at Rihanna's Savage x Fenty Volume 4 fashion show.

He also headlined Mzansi's DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival. Although the two day event that was held at Kyalami Grand Priz, did not live up to its expectations, but Burna Boy left his Mzansi fans wanting for more.

All was not lost as the acclaimed Nigerian artist; Burna Boy saved the day with an electrifying performance. Leaving thousands of attendees demanding more as he wowed a crowd estimated to be between 50 000 – 100 000 according to reports.
Burna Boy whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu headlined the festival and his performance had such a powerful impact, award-winning DJ, Black Coffee dubbed the Nigerian star as the ‘African Giant’. This acknowledged both Burna Boy’s continental and international presence. On Twitter, Black Coffee posted a screenshot of a video call he had with Burna Boy along with a caption ‘A King…an African Giant’.
