When Cardi B Met Sho Madjozi!

With all the impressive strides that award winning musician, Sho Madjozi, has been making in her career as an all round artist, one would be given the side eye if you still don’t respect her hustle. 

Yesterday, Sho Madjozi was topping the trending list across social media platforms for her major win at the prestigious annual BET Awards held at the Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles.

The BET Awards sees LA’s biggest stars in the African-American community come together on one stage. The show saw the likes of everyone from Rihanna, Mary J Blige, Tyler Perry, Burna Boy and even our own Sho Madjozi trending for giving the fans tons of meme-able moments on stage. While we watch from home, attendees actually move around and mingle with other artists and celebrities in the audience. It’s the perfect place to network as a professional in the media and entertainment industries – we’re sure AKA didn’t waste the opportunity to sit next to hitmaker Tyga at this year’s ceremony.

Sho Madjozi certainly didn’t waste those networking opportunity either. The star definitely caught everyone’s attention with her over the top fashion and bubbly personality. So much so that even the likes of “Old Time Road” chart topper Lil Nas X.

Another fellow artist that did not miss some of that Limpopo flavour was Grammy award winning rapper, Cardi B, who congratulated Sho Madjozi on her epic win. The Huki hitmaker shared the precious moment on social media, which left her legions of fans thoroughly excited.

In the video posted on popular social media page, Cardi is heard saying the following:

“I saw you on stage,congratulations”, these words left Sho super excited as she can be heard screaming in the video.

This kind of international appreciation is not a new thing to Madjozi. During the South African leg of the much loved music festival, The Global Citizen, American filmmaker, Ava Duvernay tweeted that Sho Madjozi was a stand out at the concert.
