The rapper's much-anticipated album, Mass Country, was released posthumously today on the global streaming platform Spotify.

The album was produced and completed before the rapper's untimely death and it features the likes of Nadia Nakai, Khuli Chana, Blxckie, Emtee, Yanga Chief, Sjava. Cassper took to Twitter to show love for the album. He wrote "Happy Mass Country Day!!! Big love to the Megacy!!!"
It was widely known that Cassper and AKA were enemies in the hip-hop industry, but according to a Sunday World source their beef was exaggerated. The source claimed that Cassper visited the Forbes family, following AKA's untimely passing to offer his condolences in person. The rapper was shot dead on 10 February this year outside Wish on Florida Road in Durban.

Cassper was dragged for revealing that he was not available to attend the rapper's funeral and memorial service due to business commitments abroad. According to the source, the Forbes welcomed him warmly into their home and were understanding that he couldn't attend the funeral.

“Cassper Nyovest arrived there and told AKA’s family that the much-publicized beef between him and AKA was over-exaggerated and that they were getting along very well and shared the same vision. He then told the family that he would not be able to attend the funeral because he was flying out of the country on a business trip,” the source reportedly told Sunday World.

Cassper also decided to put their beef aside and paid tribute to the star following his passing. He also called for his fans to pray for his family.

"My sincere condolences go out to Kiernan and Tebello’s families, colleagues, and fans. May their souls rest in peace and their legacies be celebrated. May the Good lord be with all of you at this sad time," he wrote.
