From our TV screens to the theatre stage, Chi Mhende stretches herself even more as an actress.
Known to her fans as the beautiful and mysterious Wandile on Generations: The Legacy, Chi has won hearts of millions of households, portraying a transgendered woman. The storyline sparked a lot of controversies while at the same time enlightening the audience on gender and sexuality.
“Fans will be delighted to see Generation’s Wandile in a super femme heterosexual and completely maternal role.
Chi will play a character by the name of Kat in Chasing Chairs and is said to be very excited about this new role which showcases what she feels will be quite an artistic, vulnerable, feminine and revealing side to herself.
Chasing Chairs is a window into the relationships of a refined and artistic couple who are dealing with life's uncertainties whilst still dealing with middle age issues.
Her show is set to start on the 14th of July until the 6th of August at the Market Theatre. Go out there and support a sister!
