It cannot be denied that The River’s return to our screens was the much needed daily drama that everyone needed. Before the first episode aired since the popular telenovela took a break from screens due to a schedule breakdown brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. The show proved that it still has that thing, after trending long after airing their return episode.
But before the show could even air the lead character, Lindiwe Dikana, which is played by Sindi Dlathu had already started trending. Her name was prompted up on the trends list after a tweep asked between Lindiwe Dikana and The Queen’s Harriet Khoza, played by Connie Ferguson, who would you pick to fight for you.
While many tweeps commended Harriet for getting away with her husband’s death, many felt that the comparison was “disrespectful” to Madlabantu, “after her comes Kalashnikov, the one who breastfed the devil. 10111 ibiza yena mak'shubile.”
The comments made it clear that Lindiwe’s character is formidable and is a testament to the former Muvhango actress’ acting ability. Sindi has provided a much loved to be hated character that currently does not have comparison anywhere on television.
