When a major opportunity for any SA rapper to feature with American rapper Meek Mill, fans did not want Emtee to miss it.

The rapper gave his fans the opportunity to ask questions about his upcoming album Expensive Pain. A local tweep asked if he will be working with any SA rapper and he asked who should it be. Under his tweet were comments from Emtee stans saying he is the best in the country.

Emtee even acknowledged that his fans are rooting for him to feature on Meek's album and the both of them started trending. He even hit him up on Twitter.

Another rapper SA feels should hop on the global stage is A-Reece. Reece recently 'murdered' Priddy Ugly on a track which was meant to be a response to his diss track, Handful Of Dust. Priddy and Reece are not on good terms and Reece wants him to apologise.

The diss track was a last minute feature from his album SOIL and said he had to add it because “sometimes nice guys gotta slap people.” Not only did he diss A Reece he also came for Cassper Nyovest as well, who by the way is no longer interested in making diss tracks anymore or even responding to them.

“You won’t scare me if you rap like Cole, do drugs like Thug or sound like Drake” and “You’re 69 the only flow you got is when you have to pee,” he rapped.

“If they want beef, I turn the game into a rapper feast, rap butcher and your girl admit that I’m packing heat. I’ve been going ham, you follow lamb, you should ask the sheep, looking for the GOAT, then you should ask for me.”

Taking a jab at Mufasa, he said, “I watched Lion King, ain’t never seen Mufasa eat an antelope, I’d probably bought school before I buy a Bentley. Buy her plenty of land before I buy her Fendi“.

Their beef will probably shake up the SA Hip Hop genre as many have argued that it has fallen flat on it's face.

Priddy responded in an interview with Scoop Makhathini and Ms Cosmo saying that the people he dissed are probably scared now. “This is hip hop. I’m not saying anything about your family. I’m just saying a lot of people had the narrative that I can’t rap. And I thought, let’s prove to these people that I can. Also, let me rap against the people that they hold in high regard.”

“I just wanted to put pressure on dudes to rap more. The narrative of hip hop is dead can’t be there if artists are dropping music. DJs don’t have hip hop songs to play and podcasts don’t have them to speak about,” he said.

“I feel like dudes are scared. Like I was saying, rappers have lost their confidence. So me in saying let’s rap, I’m saying step out of that little corner you’re in with your tail tucked in and be the bulldog I feel like you are.”
