Well, the team at BET’s Behind The Story, felt that this was a recipe perfect for their next entertainer’s story- AKA.
Pearl Thusi was the perfect interviewer, as she and AKA are pretty close – he let her host his Comedy Central Roast and Pearl is also, DJ Zinhle‘s bestie as well. So, this interview was about to be lit, oh so we thought.
The joke was clearly on us because Mzansi was left wanting, needing a glass of H20 because that interview left us parched.
With so much history between AKA and Pearl with their beef and being DJ Zinhle’s bestie, Pearl really could’ve gone there. For Mzansi. But Pearl was extremely professional throughout the entire interview.
The interview was super clean and respectable. No major Cassper Nyovest beef or Bonang Matheba drama was brought up, instead, AKA manned up and thanked Pearl for having Zinhle’s back.
That is sweet but not what the people wanted and here’s some of what the Twitter streets were feeling:
Oh, of course the Megacy stans were happy about the interview as it showed respect and what the show was really about- wait, what is the show about? The music or the come up? Or is it the drama?
However you felt about the interview, it got the people talking and that’s that.
