Monday night proved to be a great time to be watching e.tv, as the channel not only brought back the second season of Umlilo, but also launched, Gold Diggers.
The new drama series not only saw the return of many acting veterans such as Mbongeni Ngema, Tina Jaxa, and Clementine Mosimane, but we also saw the likes of Zulu Boy and Christopher Khubeka, who played the role of “Gunman” on Yizo Yizo, return to our screens.
The airing of any first episode of a new series is a daunting experience, especially for those who worked on it. Usually, social media is a testament to how successful or unsuccessful a show will be, but, even though this was only the first episode, Gold Diggers received the thumbs up from the public.
