Many of them do this to raise awareness about the virus and to show fans that anyone can be infected with this virus. Last week, Abomama actress Nokuthula Mavuso, also known as Nokuthula Ledwaba, revealed to her fans that she is battling COVID-19 and she is taking her vitamins. Although she says symptoms such as body aches, and a sore throat have subsided, she admitted that she regrets not taking her vitamins on some days because the pain is "hellish".
Another star who opened up about bring infected is Skeem Saam actor Skhumbuzo Mbatha. The actor, who portrays the character of Meneer Manaka on the SABC1 drama series, explained that he tested positive on Saturday, 26 June. This after he had not been feeling well and decided to isolate six days prior.
"I tested for covid19 on Saturday the 26th, got my positive results the following day. Fortunately, I had been isolating ever since I started feeling sick on the 20th of June," he wrote on his Facebook account.

The Real Housewives Of Durban (RHOD) personality has revealed to her followers that she has decided to treat herself to a spa date after being in quarantine and finally gaining back her health. LaConco, who is one of the baby mamas of former President Jacob Zuma, is excited that she has conquered COVID-19.
Although she is excited about overcoming the virus, she lamented about the pain she felt while she was sick; saying it was the worst she has ever felt.
"I have conquered Covid- 19, I’ve never felt so much pain and consumed so much medication in my life! Above all grateful to God, my doctors family and friends. Today I had to spend the day at the spa..." she wrote.

In a tweet she wrote, "I refuse to be wealthy and single, no kuzosha abantu [people will burn (suffer)]". Her followers took to the comments section and when one told her she is too beautiful to be single, she confirmed that she is indeed single by replying, "Well nazo! [ there you have it]".
